Jessica and Jon celebrated their wedding at UBC Botanical Gardens surrounded by friends and family who traveled far and wide to be with them on their big day. This beautiful garden wedding had unique decorations including vintage chairs and couches from Past Pieces, who also provided wedding day coordinating to make sure everything ran smoothly. UBC Botanical Gardens was the perfect location to hold Jessica and Jon’s romantic garden chic wedding, with it’s exotic trees and plants and stunning arbor where dinner was held.
How They Met
The bride and groom met in a very Vancouver way… during beach volleyball in Kitsilano. Jess’s laugh and dance moves caught Jon’s eye and after a few weeks he finally got the courage to talk to her. According to the groom it has been a whirlwind of surprises and adventures since that first day. A few years later Jessica found herself on the beach where they first met expecting to go to a party with friends. When she walked up to a gold decorated table with chairs, with a bottle of champagne and a picnic basket, Jon dropped down to one knee and proposed.
From the Bride: Jon taught me that the party is always right where we are, and that respect is the key to a solid relationship. He’s always there for me, and loves me through my faults. I will forever be grateful that he decided to finally talk to me on the beach.
