Earlier this year, Jack and Crystal decided to get married. This beautiful couple, two incredibly organized and busy Vancouverites (Jack is a physician, Crystal runs a multi-faceted real estate firm) decided that a month was enough time to plan their wedding! Guests were only given 3 weeks notice and a lot of friends, family and co-workers helped these two to make their perfect day.
How Crystal met Jack
I love the story of how these two met… It was, quite literally, love at first sight!  Jack’s mom hired Crystal to sell her condo. The day Crystal arrived, Jack greeted her at the door and they both felt an instant chemistry and mutual flirting took place. They both kept their relationship professional until the day the condo sold, which was when Jack asked Crystal out on a first date where Jack immediately asked Crystal to be his girlfriend.
From Jack and Crystal: ‘We have always been lovers of heritage and are both members of the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, living ourselves in a heritage house built in 1908 listed in the City register. We instantly fell in love with Brockhouse after trying it out for dinner and booked it the next day. Without a clear idea of what we wanted for the wedding and both being incredibly busy, everything slowly but surly fell into place as vendors were secured, yet as one would expect from such limited notice, much about how the day would run was still up in the air! With the aid of Crystal’s co-workers, everybody gathered the morning of the wedding and went to work, putting everything together. Despite everything, the wedding could not have been more perfect. Our wedding is a testament that it doesn’t take a long time to organize and need not cost a fortune. It does, however, take a group of dedicated friends and family. And that is what weddings are all about anyways.’
