Winners from the Mother’s Day Contest

The winner of my annual Mother’s Day Sweepstake contest was one of my previous brides and a new mom. You may recognize Maryse from her rustic fall wedding or her unique strawberry field engagement session.  Now, after all the hustle and bustle of a wedding is done and the pictures hung Maryse and Chad welcome me to their home. These two have always been fantastic together, they respected each other and worked well as a team during the other shoots and the newest addition to their family has only strengthened these qualities.

I loved shooting on location… at home sessions are my favourite! Maryse and Chad’s first home together is where their daughter will grow up in and her first memories will form. Her first bedroom, tastefully decorated with DIY projects from her mom, makes a better backdrop than any studio. The wallpaper in their living room was just perfect for this session, and I was able to used natural window lighting for the whole session! This session was shot on my Canon 5d Mrk III with my 50 mm F1.2 lens.
