What happens when a group of online photographer meetup  in Sedona, AZ for 4 days? Shenanigans!
It was so nice to finally meet this talented and inspiring group of photographers in person, after sharing stories of business, personal woes and photo geek talk online.
When I first arrived, everyone was out shooting at Devil’s Arch trail, so I met them there directly after a long day of travel. A few people that weren’t shooting came to greet me and I went to shake the hand of the first photographer and was met with a giant bear hug. Hugs were shared from then on, and a feeling of comfort and acceptance quickly washed over me. It’s nice to meet someone in person  and being able to skip the small talk and connect immediately on what you have in common.
Here are a few photos from the trip,  I wish I took more behind the scene photos and travel pictures -which is something I always regret when travelling. It’s easy to think of the camera as ‘work’ and when you have time off you don’t want to pick it up again. I saw a Juniper Tree for the first time and felt really connected to it, which is a bit weird. I think I have found my spirit tree. The little berries were my favourite shade of blue – like a dusting of flour on a no-quite-ripe blueberry.

Wow! These are amazing shots. Sounds like a fun trip, and even better that you’re joined with other photographers who share the same passion.
