Pinewood Lodge Wedding in North Bay with Pronovias Onega Dress
Karlie and Patrick share a mutual love of adventure and have had exciting and romantic trips together- such as backpacking Peru or a week in Sonoma Valley. However, sometimes the less glamorous side of travel are the opportunities that you really get to know each other. Karlie was extremely sea sick during a whale watching tour and Patrick calmly held her hair back and consoled her while she was sick. He asked her to move in with him once they got back home and it was then that Karlie knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
The Wedding Day
It’s no surprised that this bride and groom’s wedding was a romantic day, filled with laughs, love and travelling. Karlie got ready with her bridesmaids at her parents house in Sudbury and she met Patrick and the rest of the wedding at a small church in Cache Bay. Nearby, they had their wedding photos at a beautiful farm house that belonged to a friend and continued their wedding journey to North Bay, where they got married at Pinewood Lodge Resort. Karlie wanted her wedding day to be timeless and choose a traditional vintage theme with lots of pink lace and champagne and gold accents.
The Dress
Like everything in their lives together, Karlie and Patrick consulted each other about their wedding day attire. Patrick was opened to any style, short or long, and expressed that he thought short dresses were unique. Karlie fell in love with a beautiful full length mermaid style Pronovias Onega dress from a boutique in Toronto and after she decided to purchase it she was told it also had a removable skirt – it was the perfect dress for her wedding day! After her first dance with her husband and father, Karlie’s bridesmaids had a special skirt removal dance and she surprised Patrick with her new short dress!
