Renee and Pre got married at Stonefields Estate in Ottawa, Ontario. These two had a lot going on in the past year… a cross-country move, new puppy, first house purchase and a baby boy on the way! They still had time to plan this classy barn wedding complete with chandeliers, a Daalarna Couture gown and tear filled speeches. The bride and groom chose chose Stonefields Estate, on the outskirts of Ottawa, to host their wedding because Ottawa is where they first met. Read their Ottawa love story here.
Renee and Pre met online and both were nervous for their first meet up. Renee was quite late and right before Pre was about to leave, she walked in, flustered about not being able to find parking. Pre, as usual, was early. Despite their differences in punctuality, both of them knew it was the last first date they would ever be on.
One of my favourite parts of this wedding was the speeches. Renee had everyone in the barn tearing up as she barely made it through between chest heaving sobs. The MC for the evening was the bride’s dad, who kept everyone entertained with lots of embarrassing childhood stories. Both the bride and groom were loved by many, with the groom’s family and friends from all over the world attending, including parents from Vancouver and a special Aunt from South Africa.
